Note: Save for League of Legends, all of these tournaments are completely free of charge, so we’d like to see as MUCH participation from you guys as possible!
The Twitch Tournament
Time: 2:00 P.M.
Console: Various
Entry: Free
Prize: $25 credit towards retails purchase at Game On! + pick from SWAG box
Details: Participants will play through several games that feature “twitch” gameplay. Each round will offer points based on the performance and placement of each player. At the end of the tournament, the player with the most points will be declared the winner.
-Mario Kart: Double Dash-
Time: 4:00 P.M.
Console: Gamecube
Entry: Free
Prize: Two (2) Mario Kart R/C Vehicles (Mario & Luigi)
Details: Two teams of two players each will participate through a number of courses (to be determined by attendance); the team that places highest will proceed to the next tier of the tournament. The two final teams will play through an entire prix.
-League of Legends Showdown-
Time: 4:00 P.M.
Console: PC
Entry: $5 per person ($25 per team)
Prize: $25 Riot Points card for each member of winning team ($125 overall)
Details: At this moment, we’ve not yet finalized the prizes nor format for this tournament. There’s a chance that we might switch to 3v3 in an attempt to encourage greater participation (with compensated prize-giving).
No matter the case, draft mode will be in effect.

Time: 7:00 P.M.
Console: Xbox 360
Entry: Free
Prize: Stuffed ostrich and Home Depot gift card (value TBD)
Details: Blow it all up! Through three rounds of “Total Chaos” (destroy as much as you can with unlimited ammo and a minute on the clock), two finalists will be determined who will then go head-to-head in “Rampage” mode, where ammunition costs remaining time.
-Left 4 Dead 2 Survival-
Time: 8:00 P.M.
Console: PC
Entry: Free
Prize: One (1) Left 4 Dead 2 movie poster for each member of winning team
Details: Just like last year, this one’s pretty simple. All you’ve gotta’ do is hole up with your buddies and survive against wave after wave of zombie onslaught for as long as you can. Teams will be allowed three runs, and their shortest run time will be dropped from the total. Those who survived longest, win.
