To all visitors that have arrived at our site due to the article listed on Kotaku or the report on 9 News, let us first say that we are NOT the “Game On” mentioned. We are indeed an independently-owned new and used games shoppe and LAN center, though not the same store. The other “Game On” that recently opened up in Denver had already been brought to our attention, and we hadn’t yet decided how to approach the fact that we share the same name, though everyone here shared a strong preference for dealing with it privately, courteously, and without threat of litigation.
As far as we know, the other “Game On” has no online presence at this time, so we politely ask that you not send us E-mails regarding their situation. Your concerns are applaudable and though they did not arrive at the correct location, they did not fall on deaf ears. While we are sympathetic to the difficulties their staff has been through, personally, we are concerned for the state of our business and the fact that this other store has just received such strong national and local “promotion”. It would mean a great deal to us if you would look around our site for just a little while, and get to know us as well.
At this time, our inventory is modest in size, though containing a rich variety of both common and rare titles. Our LAN center boasts 16 PCs that are capable of playing every game we have on their highest resolutions and settings on 22″ widescreen monitors. We also offer PC repair services and are enthusiastic about individual service and education.
Our store is very interested in the promotion of gaming as a community and has taken steps towards working with local gaming presences, such as the upcoming Friday Night Fragfest, the local “Colorado Cutthroat Connection” chapter of the NVGA and their upcoming Supercon, as well as communicating with other pockets of gaming community in the state, such as Counterstrike clans and other business owners.
We regularly promote gaming news of interest on our Twitter and have recently been re-designing our website in order to launch new features, such as an event/new release calendar, while also incoporating the aforementioned Twitter onto the site itself. we’ve decided to launch this new site somewhat prematurely due to the sudden traffic increase on our website. Please forgive anything that looks either out of place or any areas that seem somewhat sparse. We are working on it.
Thank you for your visit and please accept our apologies for the misunderstanding.
